The Finnish Meteorological Institute has signed an agreement with Spatineo regarding Spatineo Serval piloting in 2012. The solution will ease considerably the management and development of Geospatial services at The Finnish Meteorological Institute. For Spatineo this is the first SaaS agreement for Spatineo Serval. Spatineo Serval is a SaaS solution for the monitoring, validation and testing of geospatial services. Spatineo Serval provides regulatory monitoring and reporting automatically, ensures service quality and usability and reduces the costs of geospatial service.
”We’ve discussed with several potential pilot customers but this first order is a significant milepost in Spatineo Serval development”, says Kristian Jaakola, the managing director of Spatineo. “We’re happy and enthusiastic that The Finnish Meteorological Institute was the first one to start using Spatineo Serval. We’ve worked with them for a long time now and we’ve come to respect the way they co-operate with their partners”, continues Jaakkola. The director for Service Development Unit, Tarja Riihisaari, says: “We’ve had the pleasure of seeing Spatineo growth right from the start and we’ve been extremely satisfied with the service quality, drive and service attitude of Spatineo and its people. Thus it was an easy decision to join the pilot program when we heard about this opportunity”.
