Spatineo announced their latest client municipality, City of Tampere, at the Spatial Data Seminar for Municipalities (Kuntien Paikkatietoseminaari) held at the House of Municipalities. The City of Tampere has been determined in their efforts to produce comprehensive and high-quality spatial data services. During 2011 and 2012, many services were launched that are used by a large number of the municipal residents and companies. In order to further develop the quality of these services, taking Spatineo Monitor into use was a logical step. The City of Tampere had actively searched for a solution to monitoring the use of services, when they were introduced to Spatineo’s solution in the annual meeting of the INSPIRE Network. During fall 2012, test use was implemented, and the City of Tampere became convinced that the solution met their needs. The production use began in the beginning of 2013. With the help of Spatineo Monitor, the City of Tampere actively monitors the quality of their own spatial data services, continuously identifies bottlenecks and areas for improvement, publishes information newsletter for the users and reports on service use and utilization rate.
